The Centre on Philanthropy and Social Investment and Wits Business School will host a PhD Writing and Methodology Workshop for students and candidates from across Africa and its Diaspora. This workshop is ideal for students who require coaching with framing and submitting successful proposals, as well as candidates who are seeking guidance from seasoned academic supervisors in developing their thesis.

Applicants: PhD students and candidates from across Africa and its Diaspora. Students and candidates from the Global North whose focus is on African Studies may be considered.
Language: Students must be able to interact and write in English

- Developing research questions and conceptual frameworks
- Writing the problem statement
- Planning your literature review
- Research Methodology
- Ethical considerations and preparing for ethical clearance
- Fieldwork
- Data analysis and reporting
- Individual coaching on your own research study
- Writing for Publications
