Conversations on African philanthropy Podcast

In May 2022, the Centre on African Philanthropy and Social Investment (CAPSI) launched the Conversations on African Philanthropy Podcast series that is aimed at being the mouthpiece for philanthropy and social investment in Africa.

This podcast series serves as a platform to highlight those making a difference in the philanthropic space, whether as individuals or organizations. It adds a spotlight to African philanthropic stories from leaders and individuals across the continent, to demonstrate that philanthropy is an African phenomenon that has been practiced since time immemorial.

What better medium to tell these stories than podcasting? Podcasts have evolved into the best and most convenient way to stay up to date on the latest news and topics of interest. They are easily downloaded and provide a convenient on-the-go option, ideal for everyone’s busy schedules, young and old.

Guest speakers include academics, researchers, policymakers and individuals who are leaders in their communities.

Our Goal

The primary goal of this podcast series is to highlight research findings on philanthropy in Africa, as well as teaching and training taking place in the philanthropy space, in order to improve policy debates.
